1. About Easy Pool Cert

Easy Pool Cert is a booking platform that connects customers with independently licensed and insured pool safety inspectors (“Inspectors”) who operate under the Easy Pool Cert brand. All services are delivered directly by these inspectors, each of whom operates as a franchisee and holds their own public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

By booking an inspection or consultation via this website, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

2. Definitions

  • Customer: The person booking an inspection or consultation through this site.

  • Inspector: A licensed, independent franchisee operating under the Easy Pool Cert brand.

  • Inspection: A formal pool safety inspection conducted in accordance with applicable state regulations.

  • Re-Inspection: A follow-up inspection related to a previously issued nonconformity notice.

  • Consultation: A pre-build or pre-install visit to provide advisory input on pool or spa safety requirements before construction.

  • Property: The site or premises at which services are delivered.

3. Scope of Services

Easy Pool Cert Inspectors may offer one or more of the following services:

3.1 Pool Safety Inspections

Licensed inspectors will assess existing pool safety barriers in accordance with current legislation in the jurisdiction where the inspection is conducted. If compliant, a pool safety certificate (Form 23) will be issued. If not compliant, a nonconformity notice (Form 26) will be provided with details on required changes.

3.2 Re-Inspections

If a nonconformity notice was issued, the property owner has up to 90 days to request a re-inspection. The inspector will re-assess the updated barrier and either issue a certificate or provide continued guidance.

3.3 Consultations

Advisory consultations may be offered for properties that do not currently have a regulated pool or spa installed. These services are informal and do not result in certification or legal notices.

3.4 Minor Repairs

Some inspectors may offer minor repairs or handyman services to assist with noncompliant pool barrier issues, subject to state limits (e.g., up to $3,300). All such work is arranged directly between the Customer and the Inspector.

4. Payment and Fees

All payments, invoices, and receipts are managed directly by the assigned Inspector. Easy Pool Cert (the franchisor or this website) does not accept or process payments on behalf of Inspectors.

  • Inspectors may request payment prior to, during, or after service delivery.

  • Re-inspection fees are determined by the Inspector and listed on their booking page.

  • Any overdue payments may be subject to follow-up and collection processes as managed by the Inspector.

5. Access and Safety

Customers agree to ensure clear and safe access to the inspection site, including:

  • Informing the Inspector of any locked gates, pets, or special entry instructions ahead of time.

  • Restraining animals as needed and ensuring safe access to the pool area.

Important: Easy Pool Cert Inspectors reserve the right to cancel or pause any inspection or service if they feel unsafe or are subject to aggressive pets, threatening behavior, or other hazardous conditions. Abuse of Inspectors will not be tolerated.

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling

Easy Pool Cert does not enforce a standard cancellation policy. Individual Inspectors may choose to apply or waive cancellation or rescheduling fees at their discretion. Please communicate with your assigned Inspector directly to request changes to your appointment.

7. Liability and Insurance

  • Each Inspector is responsible for their own services, conduct, and outcomes. Easy Pool Cert does not assume liability for the acts or omissions of Inspectors.

  • Inspectors hold their own public liability and professional indemnity insurance.

  • If a Customer wishes to dispute a decision made by an Inspector, they may contact the Inspector directly or escalate their concerns to their local council or the Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC), or other relevant authority depending on the jurisdiction.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, liability for any service issue is limited to the amount paid for that specific inspection or consultation.

8. Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state or territory in which the service is delivered. Each party submits to the jurisdiction of the courts of that location.

9. Communication and Follow-ups

Inspectors may contact Customers after service delivery for the purpose of:

  • Following up on re-inspections (if needed)

  • Reminding Customers of upcoming renewal dates for pool safety certificates (where applicable for shared pools or multi-unit dwellings)

This communication is intended as a courtesy and is not marketing.

10. Changes to These Terms

Easy Pool Cert may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Continued use of the website or services indicates acceptance of any revised terms.
