What is a Pool Safety Certificate (Form 23)?
It's the official document that confirms your pool barrier meets Queensland's safety standard. You'll need one to sell or lease a property with a pool, and once issued it's valid for two years, or one year if it's a shared pool like in a unit complex.
What happens during the inspection?
Mal walks your fence, gates and pool area and checks the basics, gate latches, fence height, gaps, anything nearby a kid could climb. Most pools pass with just a tweak or two. If something needs sorting, you'll get a simple list and a quick re-check once it's done.

Under Queensland's seller disclosure rules, your pool safety certificate (or a Form 36 if you don't have one yet) needs to be attached to your Form 2 Disclosure Statement before you sign a contract. Booking your inspection early means it's one less thing to chase once an offer comes in.

A current pool safety certificate needs to be in place before a new lease starts. If yours has lapsed or you're not sure when it expires, Mal can check the register and book you in.
