Pool Safety Certificate Questions

Common questions about pool safety inspections and Form 23 certificates in Sunshine Coast / Redcliff / Moreton Bay.

How much does a pool safety certificate cost?
Our pricing is shown upfront. The pool safety inspection is $189.00, the Form 23 certificate is $67.30 when issued, and a re-inspection if required is $95.00.
How long does a pool safety inspection take?
Generally, allow around 20 minutes for the inspection. Straightforward pool barriers may be quicker, while larger or more complex pools, or barriers with several issues, can take longer. Your inspector will check the gates, latches, fence heights, openings, climbable objects, windows, CPR signage and other relevant parts of the pool barrier.
What happens if my pool does not pass?
We’ll explain exactly what needs to be fixed and the simplest practical way to get the pool barrier compliant. Minor repairs and adjustments can often be completed during the same visit where suitable. If the only issue is a missing or non-compliant CPR sign, we carry compliant CPR signs with us.

If further work is required, we’ll clearly identify the issues and the required Form 26 process will apply, giving you time to make the changes before the pool is re-inspected. A re-inspection is $95.00.
How long is a pool safety certificate valid?
A Queensland pool safety certificate is generally valid for two years for a non-shared pool and one year for a shared pool.
How soon can I book an inspection?
We can typically fit you in the same day if you call us, depending on availability and your location. Otherwise, use the Book online button to see our current appointment times and choose the time that suits you.
